Intergalactic Space Odyssey Recap!

After the initial shock of being hit by asteroids, our campers and staff rallied together for a spirited competition at camp yesterday. The camp was divided into the following teams: "Star Wars", "Star Trek", "Futurama", "Starship Troopers", "Men in Black", "Avatar" and "Transformers". The morning was spent in the "galaxy" collecting moon rocks and space debris from the asteroid. To earn rocks, the teams had to complete challenges set up by the alien lifeforms.

In the afternoon, the teams spent their moon rocks in a kind of space training that included four primary stations: space invaders (water balloons), rocket launching (potato cannon), moon walking (lava shoes) and space walking (bouncy castle).

Finally, for evening program, each team shared what life is like on their home planet. There was a fashion cat walk, a talent portion and a dance demonstration by each team. As always, I was blown away by the creativity of our campers and staff.

Many thanks to Stu, the staff and all the kids for a day that was "out of this world"!
