July 12, 2011

Yesterday was Monday Fun Day- a chance for units to get to know each other better before we start our free choice activities today. The Pioneers and Iroquois went to Point Mountain together on a clear (though super hot) morning. The Nation played some sports and the Shawnees learned a new song that they later performed at Campfire.

Speaking of campfire, we had a full program, including some solo instrumental performances by CITs Erin and Sarah. I have to say, they were a little more talented than the staff "band"!

Also, we recognized Camp Bernie Ambassador Alyssa S. who referred a friend to camp this session. As a result, she got a brand new t-shirt for "Tie Dye Tuesday" along with a goodie bag, trading post gift credit and two horseback riding lessons! What a deal!

Stay cool in the heatwave everyone- we have lots of water station set up around camp today!
