Another glorious day at camp- though a little sad that our Forum campers and 6A kids will be departing today.
Last night was Unit Night, here is a rundown on what each unit did:
Shawnees and Iroquois played "The Great Imposter" followed by something called "Messy Goo" (don't ask). The Pioneers wanted to try the Giant Swing and Climbing Tower before departure today, so Deacon was kind enough to set that up first. Afterwards, they did a scavenger hunt and held their "secret" ceremony. The Nation played a big game of capture the flag in the nation. As for Forum, we held a closing campfire with some help from the day camp overnight.
This morning, the Shawnees learned a valuable lesson. One of our rules here at Camp Bernie is to close doors, as you never know what might wander inside. Sure enough, the doors to Jaqua were left open this morning when the girls went to breakfast. Upon return, there was a doe and two little fawns hanging out in the common room! Fortunately, they didn't leave a mess or break anything and we have a good story to tell as a result.
Have a nice day everyone!
Jamie
