We enjoyed an action packed day yesterday for Greco-Roman Palooza: here is the full rundown...

Following breakfast, campers and staff returned to their cabins to get into their costumes/team colors. We then had a 6 station rotation through some challenges that required both mental and physical strength. The morning concluded with a cheering competition judged by the "Gods and Goddesses".

After lunch, the activities were Olympics based, and more athletic in nature. Each team had to enter a camper and counselor into each event. The events were kayak race, bike race, archery, swimming, distance run, 100 m dash, hammer throw, discus throw and the shot put.

Chef Michael put together a traditional Greek feast for dinner including Greek Salad with a homemade dressing and Pastisio. It was delicious!

For evening program, we were visited by Narcissus and Flora from Mount Olympus. They told us that the Gods were bored and demanded new ideas from the mortals on earth. They challenged our teams to three competitions: design a new toga fashion, create a commercial to promote the product of one of the Gods/Goddesses and finally, choreograph a new dance to the popular earth song: "Firework" by Katy Perry. As always, the creativity of our staff and campers blew me away.

As you can see, we had a really fantastic day and a well earned lazy morning today!
